This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Advisory is a space that we use to cultivate a little family. I have 7 wonderful advisees that are quiet and sometimes struggle with connecting, especially on the computer. I want to help them come out of their shells to make the most of our time together.

My Project

Many students at my school report feeling lonely and not sure what to do about it. They say that former connections that they used to have just feel hard now as it is difficult to connect in online school. Advisory is a place where students are in a consistent smaller group every day for 25 minutes. To help them bond and feel more comfortable around others, I'd like to provide them with this workbook. This is ideal for online school because it is something they can do to grow without looking at a computer screen.
