Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My class consists of grades 3-5 students on the Autism Spectrum. Emotions can be very hard to deal with at times, especially during transitions and routine changes.
Toys with sensory features really help students to feel pressure which in return helps calm their nervous system and make them feel relaxed.
Students will have access to these necessary toys throughout the day. Many students work best when they get to earn their favorite toys at the end of a lesson. They are motivated to complete their assigned task when they are aware of what they will receive at the end.
