Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are energetic and so excited to learn. I work in an economically challenging area. The classroom environment should be a fun and inviting place for them. Every school year has new students, new dynamics, and new challenges. As educators, it is our job to provide each student with a safe environment and a quality education. Fostering a love of learning is my top goal in my classroom.
I love to see their little faces as they walk into the classroom and see where they will be learning and engaging in an active environment.
We are a Title I school and resources needed are not always provided. We, as teachers, always look for ways to make sure that our students have every opportunity or resource that they need.
My Project
We use construction paper everyday. The students use it to create projects for book reports. To make math tools, to measure and tell time. The construction paper organizer will make it so much easier for the students to grab the colors and size they need. It will make it easy to manage without making a mess and taking up valuable class time organizing. It will be used as a tool to keep the students responsible for the organization of the different colors and sizes. So with one item, it will be used as a learning tool as well as a tool for classroom organization.
