My Project

My students are excited and ready to make music! Help us get into the groove with a djembe drum and steel pan mallets made of various materials.

The djembe drum will allow us to have students accompany our steel pan and marimba ensembles and the various steel pan mallets will provide students with different options to match their playing styles.

The djembe will give an authentic feel to our Trinidadian and Tobagonian music which is rich with African rooted drumming. My engine room players will be excited to have a djembe to use. Each steel pan player prefers a different weight and feel of mallets. Having several options for them to use will allow each student to find the mallet that is just right for them.
