Males Have Emotions Too

Help me give my students books with positive male protagonists. Male students need to see books with positive friendships, boys feeling emotions, and dealing with grief.

My Project

The kiddos that are most difficult for me to find books for are my heterosexual male students. They struggle with finding books they connect with. I have found that most of my heterosexual males are gravitated toward sports books and horror. They have been difficult to find until the last couple of years.

This project will allow young boys to see positive male friendships; boys showing and feeling emotions in a complex ways; and boys going through the stages of grief.

With these books, I hope to help hook young boys onto books.
