My students need basic art supplies such as markers and glue sticks to explore their creativity in 2D and 3D design. Our art program received no funding last year, and these items are so essential!

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Our Elementary School is located in capital of our state. My student population is 75% Hispanic, and 29% of our students have IEPs. These children are very dear to me, and deserve every opportunity that I, my school, and potential sponsors can afford them! As a teacher beginning my 4th year at Grant, learning about, educating, and loving these students has made me realize that working anywhere other than Grant wouldn't be quite the same. In such a short time I have become so attached to these talented, perceptive, and amazing children. They have continued to surprise me and have performed beyond my expectations. I would love to give them all the opportunities to succeed that I possibly can. Our school motto is, “Children come First, Niño’s son Primeros” and I believe this with all my he"ART". Please help me help these exceptional children to explore the arts, and their possibilities.
My Project
Markers and glue are building blocks of basic art and design. My students need and deserve to create visual works that engage utilizing the element of art, color. Markers serve as color implement that is easier for small hands to use dexterously and be successful. As far as glue is concerned, it is an item of the utmost importance for creating collage, cards, adhere embellishments such as yarn, glitter, tissue paper, etc.!
Students will utilize these items in a myriad of ways, self portraits, 3D paper sculptures, design works inspired by famous artists like Piet Mondrian!
Please help the students of Grant Elementary have limitless imaginative fun with markers and glue!
