Making Working and Reading Inviting

My students need a large classroom rug. My students will use the rug several times throughout the day.

My Students

Students enjoy sitting and working on the carpet. In my classroom, students are completing reading and math jobs during the day. My students enjoy working at a carpet area. It feels homey and inviting to have a large clean carpet area in a busy first grade classroom.

My school is in North Alabama.

I am one of six first grade teachers at my school. We work and plan together each week. We share books, lessons, and ideas often. I have a classroom of nineteen exciting and happy first graders. I have several girls who love to play school. I have many boys who love to build things out of blocks. Our school is a Title I school.

My Project

Each day, my students work around the classroom while they are completing reading and math jobs. If I receive this rug, my students will be able to sit and relax while completing their jobs. I also read aloud to my students everyday. A warm and inviting rug will give them a more comfortable place to relax while I read to them.

I feel that a large classroom rug will make my classroom feel more inviting to my students.

They will have a clean and comforting place to relax while they complete their assignments.
