Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I teach moderate to severe preschool autism. My students are three to four years old, and absolutely love learning through structured play.

I try my best to create engaging centers that fulfill their sensory needs while also teaching them essential skills, such as fine motor strength, imagination, and sharing.

This sand and water table would be an amazing addition to these work centers inside and outside our classroom.

These sand and water trays would be amazing for inside and outside play. We have different units that we teach each month, and these would be a great way to explore multiple items in a real world way, such as incorporating sea creatures, transportation, and landscapes into the table. On hot days, I could fill these water trays with cool water and they could give the farm animals a bath outside! On cooler days, we could put real pumpkins in it and explore the different textures in a mess-free zone. The opportunities are endless.

I know my students would enjoy this sensory table for years to come!
