My Students

Scrapbooking is a great way of preserving the memories of our life. Every year, I enjoy creating an end of the year memory book with my students to end our year. My students come from hard-working families. English is spoken as a second language. My students have unlimited enthusiasm and strive to give their best each and every day. Each year, I find that most of my students have never had the opportunity to create a scrapbook. This is a learning experience that I love sharing with my students. It is a memory that they can keep for the rest of their lives. Some might even make this a hobby and continue to document their memories.

My Project

Creating a scrapbook is a great way to reflect what we have done during the school year. These scrapbooking kits, glue sticks, and pens will help my students create a book of memories to reflect on activities, performances, and learning that occurred during their second and third grade year. Scrapbooking is a way for my students to explore their creativity. They'll have the freedom to make their own decisions while decorating their book. The scrapbooking pages from the kit will be decorated with pictures, colors, glitter, and stickers. The color busts will give my students the opportunity to create their own pattern paper and they will also be used to decorate their pages. Most importantly, this project will allow my students to practice writing. Students will use the marker pens to write their paragraphs describing the activities from each picture. This project will be a new experience for most of my students as well.

Creating this scrapbook is a great way for children to make choices and solve problems.

Every step involves making a decision: what color to use, what to write, where to place pictures or what size to make something. Creating this scrapbook will not only be a memory that will last for many years but also a great way for my students to be creative and tell their story.
