Making the Safest, Coziest, and Effective Sel Classroom!

Help me give my students a new tent to have a small, personal space to calm down as well as some sensory items to assist with their SEL needs affected by their autism.

My Project

Our classroom consists of 7-13 students with ASD who need extra support in their social-emotional learning. With this project, I plan to update our calm down tent and provide more sensory options to give each student an outlet and plenty of calm down strategies that they can choose from depending on their needs. My students have been making so much progress and I hope that these items will help further their progress next year!

Our students benefit from positive reinforcement systems, so things like snacks, candy, and sensory breaks really help motivate the students to do their best work!

We refill on snacks as much as we can but a bulk of snacks and candy will help us stay ahead! My students are sweet, hard working, and so special, so I hope that this project will benefit their learning!
