My students need one Cricut Explore Electronic Cutting Machine Starter Kit, one Cricut Explore Wireless Bluetooth Adapter, and one set of Replacement Cutting Blades
In a regular day, I will work with 150 to 175 students ranging from kindergarten to fifth grade. As the PE specialist, I not only teach my students about personal fitness and skill themes, I also incorporate health and nutrition lessons, as well as cross-curricular lessons to help as I can!
Part of our student population lives in a transient community of trailers, apartments, and rental homes.
We have 56% of our students receiving free/reduced lunch. We are School-Wide Title I and 6% of our students are ELL. My students are fun, energetic, and loving. In the gym, I have three bulletin boards that I use to keep my students and parents informed of opportunities in the community to be active and I also keep them updated with pictures and examples of student work.
My Project
For this project, my students and parents would benefit from the use of a Explore Machine, a wireless Blue-tooth and accessories.
My students will benefit from this purchase in many ways. We will be able to use the cut-outs to complete our STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) projects and keep our bulletin boards fresh and exciting.
With my student’s STEM projects, I will be able to use the Explore machine to cut letters and shapes in a timely manner. Our school does not have a letter/shape press. This would help me out by saving time that I can put towards other activities
Making the Cut will allow my students to spend more time working on a project that will teach them about lifetime activity and nutrition and not spending an entire class period cutting out shapes.
The creative bulletin boards will also grab their attention and will encourage them to be involved!
