Making STEM FUN with LEGOS!

My students need LEGO's, baseplates, and magnetic tiles for STEM instruction.

My Students

Do you remember building things with LEGOs and the proud moment when you completed your task? Imagine a class where learning is disguised as playing!

My third grade students are bright, creative, and enjoy learning.

They love coming to school and genuinely enjoy being presented with engaging, interesting lessons. Our school is supported by wonderful community partners and families with the desire for high achievement for all through a STEM education.

My Project

Students in my classroom will engage in projects with the LEGOS to learn about fractions, area, and perimeter. They will build model floor plans of their dream house using the LEGOS and the base plates, and then build a model of the house using the magnetic tiles. They will problem solve and use the blocks to help them visualize a variety of solutions.

Having students engaged in school and creating an early love for mathematics and science will have a lasting impression on students for their important years to come.

They will enter the upper grades with a positive attitude and readiness. LEGOS and magnetic tiles are fun and non-intimidating to students. They won't be afraid of learning if they know that math and science can be fun!
