My Students

I am a 2nd grade teacher from Virginia Beach! This is my 4th year teaching. My school has a big military presence allowing our students to bring their diverse backgrounds and experiences to the classroom. Many of our students are coming and going but these students have a willingness to learn. They have truly impressed me with their grit and hard work during such a hard time. They continue to adapt and push through every change we throw at them.

I want my students to have a sense of belonging when they are in our classroom (and when learning from home).

If I can offer any type of assistance and opportunities to my students, it will make the world of difference. I want to be able to give my students as much as I possible can.

If you donate to our classroom, I can tell you that your donation would be making an enormous difference. Our school is trying to make it a place that feels like home and I believe that with the necessary resources we will be able to do just that.

My Project

This Teachers Pay Teachers gift card will allow me to purchase digital resources that my students will use at home. Many of these resources will be great extensions to our group lessons. These resources will enhance my virtual lessons and help keep my students engaged. I am also planning to purchase some activities that focus on my students’ social and emotional development during this challenging time. Giving them a chance to acknowledge their feelings will help us address them and allow us to continue to focus on learning new concepts.
