This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are passionate about both food and science. This project will merge these interests by exploring food science concepts. We will delve into the world of measurements, learning to accurately measure ingredients to achieve desired outcomes. Additionally, we will investigate the importance of temperature in cooking, understanding how heat affects the structure of food. Finally, we will explore the fascinating changes that occur within cells as they are subjected to heat, observing how these transformations impact the texture and flavor of our culinary creations. To bring these concepts to life, students will utilize a panini maker and a cold-press juicer, allowing them to apply their knowledge in practical ways.
This project will also subtly address food anxieties.
This will ensure a comfortable and inclusive learning environment for all students.
