This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are from the South Side of Chicago. For the past 7 years I have been working at my school and I have gotten to meet so many incredible little faces. They come from low-income families, yet super excited to learn.

My students deserve the best education they can possibly receive despite the challenge of learning virtually.

As their educator, I work to ensure they get everything they will possibly need in order to succeed in our classroom (virtually), our school and beyond.

They are students that need to be inspired and cared for on a daily basis. It is my job as their educator and a role model to ensure this happens for them every day, this is what I strive to accomplish daily despite the distance!

My Project

This document camera will help my students engage in live interactive instruction while learning remotely. I will be able to show documents, workbooks, and reading books in color to teach students how to read, write and much more to help build the foundation for early education despite the distance. I will also be able to physically show parents how to help support their child from home with all subject areas. My students will be engaging in Phonics, Reading, Writing, Math & Social Emotional Learning through the school year this document camera along with color ink will help bring things more to life for them and keep learning interactive throughout the year. I want to make their remote learning experience as interactive, fun and engaging as possible for all my students and my parents and this document camera will help me do just that!
