This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are an enthusiastic group of first grade learners! I have a diverse group of students who are English Language Learners.

I want to help build on the strong foundation that my students received in kindergarten.

Phonemic awareness and phonics are the building blocks that students need to be successful readers and writers. By using Rime Magic and Heggerty in my classroom on a daily basis, I can ensure that my students will continue to grow in their reading skills and will continue on the road to being proficient readers and writers in 1st grade and beyond.
