This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My beautiful, thoughtful, and creative students are mostly from Richmond, San Pablo, and neighboring cities. We even have a large population of students from other countries which makes our school even more special! Even though these places may have negative reputations and challenges, my students continue to shine through the hardships and create positives in their lives. They are eager to learn and eager to grow!

My students are quick to greet me with hugs, insight, compliments, and new stories to share.

I am inspired by their willingness and passion to learn. I am determined to get them what they need to guarantee a wonderful and successful school year!

My Project

With new comfortable seating and new books my students will be able to enjoy reading time in the classroom! My students are dedicated readers and love to read all genres of books. Everyday they look forward to grabbing a good book and finding a spot to sit on the rug or sharing one of our comfortable chairs. With additional seating options, ALL students will be able to enjoy reading time in comfort.

Our classroom library over the years has dwindled in quantity.

Students often take books home and don't return them or books get lost when moving classrooms or books get damaged over time. It is time to increase our classroom library and collect books all students will enjoy reading at their reading levels! With your help we can accomplish this goal!
