Making PE Exciting

Help me give my students a storage cart and a pitching machine to help our PE class run smoothly and introduce new and engaging activities.

My Students

I am beginning my teaching career a little late in life, but know that I am just as excited as the students that I have had the privilege of meeting thus far. My students attend a Title I school with a very diverse population. We serve pre-kindergarten through 4th grade, as well as self-contained special education classes.

Now with many of our COVID restrictions lifted, it is more important than ever to get my students engaged and motivated about their health (physical and mental) and overall well-being.

My students love PE and are always excited to come to class. The items that I am requesting will greatly enhance their engagement in PE class. I am hoping that my students will see that being physically active is fun and good for their overall well-being.

My Project

After this previous year of not being able to share supplies and having physical education classes like never before, I want to give my students the basic supplies that they need to have a fun and engaging time in PE. My students are in need of new equipment to use during their weekly physical education classes. For many of my students, PE is the outlet that many of them need.

My students love to be active and deserve new supplies to use in their PE classes.

The pitching machine, batteries, and extra baseballs will be used to teach the fundamentals of baseball to my pre-kindergarten through 4th-grade students, as well as locomotor skills. The storage cart will allow my students to safely store their equipment for easy access.
