Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

This school is a middle city school with students from many different economic and cultural backgrounds.

My students are asked to provide supplies that might be financially hard for them to get. Our school is a Title I school, and every donation goes a long way. Our students are driven to always do their best, but they struggle. They need financial and emotional support from their community to help them meet their true potential.

My Project

Here it goes. I have found that I enjoy writing notes for my classes when my notes have color in them. I also found that my students love to use my notebooks (will even take them home with them) when they are neat and colorful. This translates to more studying of the concepts and more use out of things we spend so much time on in class.

My students are using colored pens to write their notes right now and they are the envy of the 6th grade.

They are beautiful and organized, my students spend time making sure that they have everything well written and clear. I love watching my students write. The problem is, 100 students using 6 sets of colored pens, they dry out quickly. I am asking for 14 more sets of these amazing pens and pencil pouches to keep them in.
