My Students
I teach both a morning and an afternoon kindergarten session which allows me to influence and love double the number of students each school year. Because of this, we go though supplies pretty quickly. These kiddos are from wonderful families who only want the best for their children. They are always willing to help in any way possible - especially when it comes to volunteering in class or working with their child at home. Some of the supplies I'm requesting will allow me to create resources for parents to do just that.
Additionally, the students in my class are always eager to learn, explore, and create.
They especially love our science days and when we have opportunities to use cross-cutting curriculum to create art that they can take home to share with their families. My kiddos also enjoy hands on experiences, looking out for one another, and using the fun learning games I've created in the past to review current content.
My Project
The materials I'm requesting for my students are all basic supplies that we will use throughout the remainder of this school year. Many of these items such as the glue, coffee filters, crayons, card stock, pencils, erasers, etc. will be used for art projects and science days. The lamination machine and pages will be used to preserve their artwork as well as create resources such as review games that will last for many school years to come.
Additionally, these supplies will help us have a great start to the following 2020-2021 school year!
The sheet protectors and address labels will be used to create AVID folders that are appropriate for kindergarten communication and learning. A skill that students will use and apply K-6 at SVES. The loose book rings will be used to secure student transportation tags on student's backpacks and will ensure that children get home safely the first few weeks of school. The binder clips will help keep upcoming and current student work and progress monitoring booklets organized.
