My Students
Imagine 30 students trying to learn to play the recorder sitting on the floor with their music book and pencils in their laps... Now imagine a neatly organized music class where there is a music stand for each two children to share.
My 4th, 5th, and 6th grade students are VERY excited to learn how to play the recorder.
Because of the current economic situation affecting many families, we made it point to sell the recorders at as low a cost as possible and still get the students what they need. Students were not required to purchase music stands. That's where you can help us out!
My Project
The music stands are portable and light-weight. They will allow for quick and easy tear-down and storage between classes. Plus, they come in cool rainbow colors, which goes along great with our very "colorful" classroom environment! They will allow the students to be much more organized and focused during class.
Learning the recorder does so much more than just teach the students an instrument!
It builds character, confidence, responsibility, motor-skills, and has countless other educational benefits! These music stands will improve the amount of learning for approximately 325 students.
More than half of students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
