This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Help my Pre-K students increase their vocabulary, social emotional coping skills, language and love for learning by helping me get a new MacBook Pro laptop. I’m a music teacher in a Brooklyn Pre-K center. Some of my students are in small classes and receive related services, such as speech, occupational therapy and physical therapy. They love my Canva presentations. Many of these students have increased their vocabulary, social skills and spatial awareness through music education, but my laptop is constantly dying and running out of space. A new laptop would increase my productivity and the growth of all my students.

A MacBook Pro would enable me to make movies and videos for school recitals.

It would allow me to make presentations and workshops for parents to help them learn how to use music to help their children reach their best potential. The graphics draw the attention of my students with visual/auditory learning styles. The MacBook Pro would enable me to design materials to help my students with disabilities and young learners have hands-on opportunities to practice concepts taught. Last but not least, a MacBook Pro would enable me to increase the creativity of all my students through music production.
