My Students
All of my students have been identified with a disability that prevents them from accessing the general curriculum. These special needs range from Autism, learning disabled to emotional disturbance.
The students in my class come from a variety of backgrounds and each of their home lives are very different.
My students are very passionate and motivated to learn. They desperately want to learn the same concepts and curriculum as their grade level peers so that they have the opportunity to go to college.
My Project
My students are all very different and come from a wide variety of cultures. My students love to feel represented within the classroom and to share their personal culture and heritage with their peers. My students also love to cook and create foods to share with their peers but they are limited by the lack of cooking appliances.
My students need an oven so that we can create more meal options and expand our multicultural culinary abilities.
My students want to create recipes and food from their home lives so that they can take pride in sharing their culture with others. They want to be able to create meals and be able to invite other students, teachers and staff to partake in the joy of eating diverse foods.
