Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
There might be a budding Spielberg or Lucas in my class and a new Flip camera will help them bring that creativity to the screen.
I teach a very creative class of twenty-seven fifth graders in an urban southern California school.
They greet each new challenge that I present them with enthusiasm and a "can do" spirit. Although we might not have a lot, we do make the best use of all our resources.
My Project
My class has been writing, directing and producing small plays for our school. We just performed a play for our school's American Heroes Assembly about Clara Barton, the founder of the Red Cross. The students would love to turn their scripts into movies to share with their parents and others who might not get to see a live show.
With your help these future film makers will be able to video all their productions.
The energy and excitement that my class has for our productions would only be enhanced with a camera. It would also give the more reserved students a roll behind the camera. Everyone will have a way to shine. Thank you for your consideration.
