My Project

Every morning from 8:00-8:30 my students come in and start their day with time in our classroom with their friends. My goal is for this to be a time of connection and eased transition into the school day, but I'm finding I need a little help in creating that space. I'd love to give my students some games to connect with their friends over, and some of the books that they're most interested in reading. Completing my set of book series like The Bad Guys, which my students can't get enough of, some of those same books but in Spanish, and classic games that they love like Connect Four and cards will help to get us there.

Classroom culture and belonging play such an integral part in creating the right conditions for students to learn.

I'm hopeful that resources like these can help contribute to our overall sense of feeling like this classroom is our home, and that with your help I can give my students another reason to look forward to coming to school in the morning.
