This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Every year I have my students make a painting project that they can keep as a memory of their time in pre-kindergarten. The materials I am requesting are for my students to create a painting of their first letter of their name. We need canvas boards, watercolor paper, watercolor paint sets, some kids art frame display, and some snacks for our end of the school year painting project. This is an activity where they use their creativity and have lots of fun. There is no art class in our school; What little art they can create is limited to our classroom. By donating to this project, you will be increasing my students’ exposure to the arts and allowing for their self-expression, skills that are often left underdeveloped in the classroom.
