This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Throughout the school year my students and I make so many memories together. These include field trips, assemblies, and many projects during the year. With this project I want to capture these memories. I am requesting a photo printer and photo paper to print out some of these pictures. Every year I take pictures of my class and print some of them as keepsakes. The cost of this quickly adds up. It is more cost effective to have a portable printer and print them out in the classroom.
This photo printer will allow my students to have a memorable keepsake from their time in 2nd grade.
I like to send home pictures from their first day of school, last day of school, and from special events throughout the year. My students also create portfolios from their time in 2nd grade. I also want to use the photo printer as an opportunity for them to add photos to their portfolio.
We live in a digital age where pictures are no longer printed and only stored digitally. I think it is fun to still have physical copies of sentimental photos. This project will help me do this for my students.
