This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Most of my students live in a low socio economic environment. Many of them speak English as a second language. All of them love coming to school. TK is a special year where the kids are introduced to school and are getting ready for the rest of their school career.
For this reason, I want to be able to make the year special for them and we are being able to capture all those special memories in scrapbooks that the kids are making throughout the year.
I need lots of photo paper and scrapbook paper so that each kid can make their own book. They love getting to see pictures of themselves on the pages they have created. This is not only special for them and their families, but it is starting to prepare them for narrative story telling and writing.
