My Students

The fifth graders at our school are an energetic, open-minded, persevering group of students. We work hard to challenge our students to be critical thinkers as well as problem solvers.

Our goal is for our fifth graders to leave our school ready to enter their next stage of life with confidence and a sense of belonging in our community.

By rewarding our students for attendance, hitting goals, and persevering we know they will have more ownership of their education and thus be ready to move on to middle school.

My Project

Students at our school missed the last year and a half of school due to closures during the pandemic. Students missed out on the activities they love and enjoy about school.

We want to help remind them of why we love school by creating solar ovens and using them to cook at school.

We want our students to have the best school year possible to rekindle their love for the school and help them foster healthy eating habits. This project contains items like foil, pizza boxes, and fidgets that we can use throughout the school year with our students. Our goal is to teach the students about different forms of energy made. They will make the solar ovens before winter break and be able to use them over the break with their families to teach them about solar power and making recipes together.
