P.S. 56 Queens is a Title I school with a student body of approximately 70% eligible for free lunch. The fifth grade is our last year for students in our school and during that year we take digital photos of our activities and video clips for our end of year "graduation/stepping up" slide show. Our international school community will look back at this year as a special time and we're hoping we can provide a retrospective using video and music for our students and their families. Until recently we were restricted to digital photos because music took up too much space to put on the CDs. DVD memories can provide the answer because of the capacity DVDs have to hold video and audio. If we could give this gift to our students it would hold a lifetime of cherished memories for them, their present and future families. We hope Donors Choose will consider funding a DVD burner and DVDs for us to offer our students, and give them the opportunity to create their own memories of our school.
