My students need these Xylobell kits to practice their music notation reading skills. They will use them to learn note and rhythm reading as well as scales and chords in a fun, hands-on way.
My students are hard working kids from the far south side of Chicago who are very excited to start learning music. They have not had music class for at least five years so for most of them, this is their first music experience. These kids are very eager to start playing instruments and learning new songs.
Every class has asked how soon they can start playing the instruments.
They want to learn as many instruments as soon as possible .
My Project
These Xylobells are a very important part of our music curriculum. They will be used to play songs that teach note and rhythm reading. They will also be used by the older students to learn more advanced concepts such as scales, chords, and keys.
The bells are a wonderful, hands-on tool to learn these important musical skills.
Students will be able to work individually and in groups to learn concepts using songs that they will enjoy playing.
Students will be able to use the Xylobells to learn concepts as simple as high and low or as advanced as key signatures and improvisation.
