This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

We have a building-wide system for supporting students with skill-based interventions for both reading and math. As the instructional coach, teachers often come to me asking questions about how to support students who are struggling. We have a particular group of students who have been receiving interventions for math for the last couple of years and are still struggling with specific areas of number sense and representing numbers. Through research, I have found that these types of struggles can be supported through the use of strategies and tools that are used with students who have Dyscalculia.

I am requesting a variety of resource books to help our teachers develop teaching strategies to support students who are struggling with math.

These books come with activities, suggested teaching strategies, and other reproducible tools that can help students who need an extra layer of support with their number sense.
