Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

Included are over 20 instant math centers with easy to follow directions for my first graders. Learning needs to be meaningful and purposeful for students. The centers provide optimum practice of required math standards in a fun way. Children love working with their hands and playing games. These centers will provide the practice needed to succeed in math. The math topics include geometry, number operations, measurement, place value, time, and more.

My goal is for my students to have a strong foundation in all of the required math standards.

This will help them succeed in future grades.

I work at a Title I School and many of my students are English Language Learners (ELL). They are learning to speak English. I have six students that need concrete examples for learning new concepts. These math centers would be very helpful for my students.
