Making Math Masters

Help me give my students a better hands on math experience! Math can be tricky and I want my students to be able to experience math through exploration.

My Project

I want to give my students more ways to experience math with their hands. I have found that my students loose focus and interest when I spend too much time talking. They learn better when they are able to interact with the concepts.

I want my kids to learn through exploration!

By using pattern blocks and geoboards, they learn shapes, and area, as well as basic fractions. We start telling time in 2nd grade and it can be very difficult for some. I found that I have student that struggle with number lines when they need to create their own. We have a set of Unifix Cubes that no longer connect together. I would like to be able to provide better visuals and manipulatives for me kids to experience these math concepts and to discover that math can be fun!
