My Students
My students are struggling students. They have been identified with some type of disability that is interfering with their learning process. They continue to participate in the general education classroom and we work together to fill in their gaps in learning.
My students work twice as hard as the average student.
They have to overcome many different obstacles to achieve in school. My desire is to assist them in any way that I can, so that they can succeed and feel hopeful for their future.
My Project
Math can be a struggle for many students. The items in this project are geared towards helping students build foundational math skills in an fun and exciting way. Since my students come to me for intervention, they will take the skills learned from these activities back into their classroom and apply them to their teacher’s lessons.
Another aim of this project is to help parents be more involved in their child’s learning in a fun way.
Often times parents express frustration with helping their child. Many of these activities can be sent home with students where they can play with parents and siblings! The family pack has instructions in English and Spanish which is very helpful for our school’s population.
