This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach at a high school in Manhattan where many students are interested in pursuing careers in health and science. My students are passionate, curious, and full of life. They are incredibly generous and also very appreciative of teacher and one another!

My students get excited about engaging with the math curriculum in new and engaging ways!

These young people bring a smile to my face every single day, and I am committed to making sure I can do the same for them.

My Project

Dry erase sheets will help students engage with math problems in a fun and new way. Students with IEPs that benefit from using colored markers when completing problems will especially benefit from using dry erase markers.

Students will LOVE using dry erase sheets working in pairs or individually!

Graph paper gives visual learners greater access to the content, especially students with IEPs that have learning disabilities and processing difficulties. Pencils are always in high demand in a math classroom, and there is a limited supply at our school. Students ALWAYS need a pencil! They will be so grateful for it.
