My Students

This year is an exciting and nervous time for students. I am a special education teacher and want to give the students at my school something to look forward to since they have been out of school so long.

My school serves students from kindergarten through eighth grade.

I teach Learning Support to Kindergarten through fifth grade. We are a Title I school and all our students are eligible to receive free lunch. The students in this school are hardworking and eager to learn.

Our school is full of students ready to get back to learning and we want to celebrate them and their efforts!

My Project

I teach students that are below grade level in reading and math so engaging them in difficult lessons can be challenging. Students are very excited when we are able to add fun into our lessons. As a teacher with years of experience teaching reading, I have some great games and strategies to engage students. Since I have not taught math as long, I don't have the games and hands on materials that I need to make math fun.

Incorporating manipulatives into lessons helps students build their confidence since they can test their answers.

Incorporating games helps get them engaged and keeps their attention.
