Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

The community my students live in can be high needs, and, yet, you will find some of the most resilient, kind, funny, energetic, and, most important, eager-to-learn students who are willing to climb mountains to learn. We are a student-centered classroom!

My Project

These materials - books, magnets, and chart paper - will make a difference in my students' learning in a variety of ways. My students and I are all home this school year because of the Covid-19 pandemic. This means I don't have access to all of the materials I would normally have in my classroom such as my smartboard and whiteboard. This chart paper will allow me to create charts and model activities for students on my easel at home.

These book collections allow me to add variety to my math lessons.

The books focus on different math concepts that I can read during our math time that differ from our textbook.
