My students need Play-doh and counters to help practice counting and number recognition.

My Students

Our students are energetic, active learners. They attend a Title I school and their parents often struggle to buy supplies, uniforms, and provide lunch. The parents do try their best to send their children to school every day so they can get a proper education, meals, and exercise and play in a safe environment. The students try hard at everything they do, from in the classroom to on the playground, because they like school and feel safe at school. The teachers try equally as hard because we know they are our future and need dedicated educators who care about their success and well-being.

My Project

My students are learning to count from 1 to 10 and need more supplies to help them. The sea animal counters will help incorporate our science unit about animals with math. Also because they are different colors, we will be able to sort them by animal and color.

The Play-doh mats will help make forming letters fun.

It will strength hand muscles which is necessary for writing numbers while also making forming letters fun.

The shape center will help students see how shapes are part of our everyday life. Once students notice shapes in their environment, they will be able create pictures involving shapes.

While the students are involved in these independent learning centers, I will be able to pull small groups and give students the individualized instruction they need to succeed.
