This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach at a low income school where 100% of the students receive free breakfast and lunch.

Many of my students face difficulties and struggles in their life, and truly deserve an amazing education.

These children deserve nothing but the best life can offer them.

Every student deserves educational equity and this starts with fairness; this means someone's personal conditions shouldn't interfere with their education or academic successes.

My students are hardworking and lovable, and they deserve a chance to reach their potential. This can be done through time, love, and the right resources to fit their needs.

My Project

These requested whiteboard materials will make a huge difference in my students' learning by providing them a way to practice and review without it feeling like drill and kill. The whiteboard circles will be placed on the individual desks, so that students can work out problems in a more engaging way. The markers and erasers will make it possible for each student to have their own to use. This way everyone can be participating in the math work, and not having to take turns with materials.

All of these supplies will make math class more engaging, fun, and active for my learners.

Practice is important when learning, but that does not mean that it needs to be boring.
