Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I love how curious, capable, and unique each of my students is. I work with K–2 students with autism who learn best through hands-on, visual, and individualized materials. They thrive when given clear structure, repetition, and engaging tools that support communication and independence.
The supplies in this project—Velcro, laminating sheets, pens, and more—will allow me to create custom visuals, communication boards, adapted books, and interactive learning tools tailored to each student's needs.
These materials help me break down tasks, support language development, and make learning more accessible and meaningful. Every item will directly support daily routines, academic instruction, speech goals, and social interactions in a way that’s functional and fun for my students.
