Making Master Mathematicians

Help me give my students manipulatives to master their multiplication facts and fluency.

My Project

I teach a wonderfully diverse group of third graders who are embracing the challenges and joys of third grade. One of the biggest goals in third grade is to become fluent in basic multiplication facts.

These multiplication games and manipulatives are chosen thinking of my students with many different learning styles.

Students are encouraged to reflect on their own learning style to choose how they want to learn and practice multiplication facts.

With these games and manipulatives, students can choose to work alone, in a partnership, or in a group. They can pick to practice by basic flash card memorization, a tactile multiplication chart, filling a chart out independently, or playing a game with a partner or a friend.
