Making Marvelous Mathematicians

My Students

My students are curious, thoughtful and full of questions! They absolutely love hands-on, challenging, and engaging materials that allow them to think, find solutions, and make connections! They come to school each day ready to learn and grow.

Many students in my classroom come in saying they have difficulty completing practice assignments at home because of lack of supplies and resources.

Our school is nestled in the heart of Minneapolis. Alot has happened within our community. However, students are eager to return back to the classroom and regain some sort of normalcy.

The students in my class are working hard to learn new concepts and make connections to math in the real world. We incorporate a variety of learning strategies, activities, and learning options to ensure that each student's needs are met. We are in need some class materials to make this year amazing! I am excited about learning and growing with all of my students this year.

My Project

Students learn math best when they are able to explore and make real world connections. These calculators will help to build students mathematics abilities and confidence. I want every student to see the usefulness of math and understand how to properly use math tools such as calculators. With these, students can help student to focus on their mathematical thinking rather than getting hung up on making simple math errors. Students will gain experience inside of the classroom that will stay with them throughout their lives. They will start to see the math in the world around them!
