This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our classroom truly is a second home for us. We have a long way from the beginning of the year to the end. My students grow to care for each other and demonstrate how responsible they can truly be.

They are curious about the world and are learning to find value in being bilingual.

They are discovering new things about themselves each day and I want them to feel that our classroom is a safe place to do so together!

My Project

Right now students have to dig through a bucket of letter tiles another teacher was kind enough to share with us. The magnetic letter tiles would hep students access the resources with more efficiency so they could focus on their word work instead of fishing through the bucket for that one letter. Students will benefit from developing their sight words to increase their reading and writing skills. The sight word activity chest and skills book will allow students the opportunity to practice during centers with engaging and tangible activities that they can take ownership of themselves.
