Making Magical Makerspace Masterpieces

My Project

A Makerspace is an area in the classroom where students can come to explore, build, create, tinker, invent and play. Makerspaces provide opportunities for students to think critically, problem-solve, create, design, and experiment as they engage in STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, and math) activities. Makerspaces foster innovation through hands-on experimentation.

In order to create a successful Makerspace area in my classroom, I will need to supply my students with hands-on arts and crafts materials, supplies, and storage.

The arts and crafts materials that I have selected will challenge my students to create new things or make existing things better. Through the use of traditional and non-traditional crafting materials, my students will have the opportunity to test and build plans and ideas, or just explore and see what happens.

This project will give my students unlimited opportunities to experiment with Makerspace activities, use their creativity and curiosity while having FUN!
