My Project

In my kindergarten class, students participate in both reading and math center time. During this time, they have a choice of many different center bins that cover many kindergarten academic standards. These bins include hands-on learning activities to help students stay engaged and learning! For example, one student may be working on identifying letter sounds while another student learns about rhyming words. Every student is working on something different that is designed for their learning level.

When students are given choices, they are more empowered and take ownership of their learning!

The center bin I am requesting will help our center time to be more organized for students. They can take the entire bin with them to work on the center activity. When they are finished, it will be easy for them to keep it organized, and they will return it right back to the center bin.

My students enjoy center time because they know they can work on skills they need to practice, and they can work at their own pace. Students' rate of mastery increased dramatically when we began to use this differentiated style of centers. The missing piece to our center time is how to organize a large amount of center activities so that it is simple for both the teacher and students to facilitate. This storage bin will make our centers magical! Thank you for your support!
