Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I love how creative and imaginative my first graders are. They bring so much joy and energy to everything they do, especially when they have the chance to create with their hands.
Art and craft supplies help my students express themselves, build fine motor skills, and explore new ideas in a fun and engaging way.
These materials also support social-emotional learning, as students learn to share, work together, and feel proud of their creations.
In my classroom, I use a variety of essential tools to support students' creativity and hands-on learning during art and craft activities. The Westcott CarboTitanium Guillotine Paper Trimmer allows for quick, clean, and accurate cuts of paper, cardstock, and construction paper—perfect for prepping materials or helping students neatly trim their projects. The X-Acto School Pro Electric Pencil Sharpener ensures that pencils are always sharp and ready for detailed drawing, sketching, or coloring, keeping workflow smooth and frustration-free. The Fiskars Scissors, known for their safety and precision, are ideal for student use, helping them confidently cut out shapes, designs, and decorations for their crafts. Lastly, the Scotch Brand TL906 Thermal Laminator is an invaluable tool for preserving student artwork, creating reusable classroom materials, or making durable name tags and labels. Together, these tools foster a well-equipped, efficient, and inspiring environment where students can express themselves through creative projects.
