My students are fun, loving, creative and passionate. As an educator for social justice, we are constantly engaging in rigorous conversations about equity in the classroom and our greater community. In order to be equitable to my students, I need to create an environment that gives them what they need. School should be safe, comfortable and accommodating. My Project
I remember the moment I fell in love with books. I would do anything to cozy up with a story where I felt connected, powerful and moved through literacy. I want to bring this magic to my six and seven year old students, who could become discouraged by the challenges of reading. With the right support and environment, they will run with the joys of a world inside the pages of a book.

Help me let their books take them to magical places by creating comfortable seating options during independent reading time. Additionally, help me to provide theatrical experiences for my kids, who are all soon to be change makers and rock stars by building their fluency through theatrical experiences.
