Making Literacy Groups Hands-On!

Help me give my students learning tools to help with phonemic awareness and counting.

My Project

Each day in kindergarten my students go to small groups to get literacy instruction that is tailored more specifically to their needs. The materials in this project, including items in the hand2mind Little Minds at Work Science of Reading Essentials Toolkit will help support the learning of my students in their small groups.

There are also number pop-its to help my students with 1:1 counting.

When students learn about phonemic awareness, the focus is on auditory learning. With these new materials, students will also be able to use a kinesthetic approach. Using more than one learning style is a great way to help students increase their knowledge and retain the information better.
