My Students
Hello! I am a special education teacher in a co-taught classroom, with the privilege of teaching both general education and special education students.
My students come from diverse backgrounds.
These students are leaders and have a thirst for more knowledge. They are creative and intuitive with bright minds. Their since of wonder is inspiring to all of us who have the pleasure of teaching them.
My Project
The glue sticks, scissors, pencils, markers, editing pens, erasers, and other school supplies will be used by students, so that they may create authentic, meaningful writing pieces. Having these materials ready in their table caddies will help the Writer's Workshop process run smoothly from day to day. The markers will be used to create anchor charts that reflect the discussions we have during our mini-lessons.
The donations to this project will help to improve my students' understanding of authentic, meaningful writing.
By implementing the Writer's Workshop model, my students will begin to see themselves as true authors and illustrators. We will use these materials to aid us in the process of becoming lifelong writers.
